Our washing machine is not draining. I think the filter is clogged. Is that something that I might be able to fix or do we have to call for repair and is it worth it? I have taken the hose off that back and that is clear. Not sure what else to do.

If you don't have a youtube account, I suggest you go make one right now. There are many, many videos that will help you solve your problem. Even if you cannot fix it yourself, at least you will have tried. You can learn all sorts of things there- how to butcher chickens, how to fix cars, how to fix appliances. I like to watch the videos on making your own laundry detergent, making different foods, canning, crafts. Etc. it's a wealth of information. Sure there are some bizarre things to be found, but plenty of good info too.
It may be something caught in the pump. it willbe what the hose attaches to under the drum.
I had this problem, It gave instructions on cleaning the filter in the troubleshooting section of the booklet that came with the washer. We have several dogs and the filter was clogged with dog hair. Good luck.
