Wax Inside Hurricane Glass Candle Holder

I have a very thin coat of wax on the inside of a hurricane glass candle holder. I cannot seem to find anything to remove it, and it is too tall to fit in the freezer.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried placing the candle holder in the basin of your sink and running hot water into it? This would melt the wax residue from the glass and you'd be able to rid the container of the wax residue in liquid form. Once removed, be sure to dry the container thoroughly.

If you can, run the hot water over it as mentioned above. I also use the non-scratch dish sponges to get the hard to remove wax off when rinsing with the warm water. (01/16/2006)

Be careful removing the wax in your sink. You could cause a stoppage in your plumbing. You could use a hairdryer to melt the wax letting the wax drip onto newspaper, etc. (01/17/2006)
