Call me Old Fashioned. But, in my day there was a thing called The Welcome Wagon! Okay, now you must think I'm a dinosaur? Right? No, my mom taught me very well!
I live in a very nice complex. Saturday, a gentleman (bachelor) moved in across the hall from me. I ran into him in the hall and welcomed him, and answered some questions he had! I then came in and started baking! I made a banana bread and a batch of my chocolate chip cookies.
While they were cooking, I got out a gift bag for his Welcome package. And the pictures will show what I put in it! Just basic necessary items that a guy living alone probably had not even thought of. Most things I got at the Dollar Store. I have 3 adult sons and remember well their moving day! Now that is just being neighborly!

Aw so very sweet of you! :) I am sure he will appreciate the gifts!!
Thank you so very much for your comment! I am just being a mother! I brought up 4 kids years ago, and now have 11 grandchildren.
Very nice thing you did. Our world has gotten so big in that nobody lives near their family anymore that that was a really nice thing. I have given biscuits to two different people that have moved in but then I haven't carried through with everybody. I do try to welcome them and greet them when I recognize that their new with the mailbox or new in my building. I'm sure he will appreciate that in the long run
