What breed is my cat? He has so much personality. He lives inside of course with my wife and I along with our 10 year old son. Anytime I sit down or lay down he's right on my chest or legs. He's not the same with my wife. She tries to love on him and it's almost like he will tolerate it, but as soon as she's done physically holding him he's done and wants down.
He hates anyone that comes to our house other than literally us 3. He will run like a lightning bolt and disappear under my bed. I rescued him when he was a kitten and I've had him about 6 years now. I just wish I knew more about him.
He's not a very vocal cat. He will meow on cue when I feed him or give him his daily treats, but other than that he doesn't say much. However, he loves sitting at the front glass door and watching the birds. That's really when he gets vocal. He tries to mimic the birds chirping I think. It's pretty funny to watch. He's very fast.
He has green eyes and a solid grey almost silver coat, that is long and thick. His paws are big and he has a huge fluffy tail. Sorry, trying to list some details hoping it may help.
Thank you so much for any input. Steve

He could have Blue Persian in him.
Reminds me of a Chantilly Tiffany :)

Your cat looks like he may have some Siberian Forest cat in him. I have 2 of these cats. They are a little different. They are indigenous to Russia. In fact they are the national cat of Russia. They are usually large, males are often over 15 lbs. They have a lot of personality. They interact a lot and stick close to their chosen people. They are rarely lap cats but will sit next to you or close by. They are often scary smart.
I believe everyone would agree that your boy has a lot of Persian but mixed with what?
The suggestion about the Siberian cat is interesting to me as I had never heard of this breed but that could be because they were first introduced in the US in 1990 so this breed is relatively new in terms of cat history in the US.
Your cat does not have the "flat" face that some Persian breeds have but he must have a great deal of one of the Persian breeds.

If you are curious enough to spend $35-$100 you can get a DNA test kit and find out a lot about your boy's breeding. These kits are sold online, through your vet and at most pet stores - Petsmart has them for sure.
Some interesting "facts" about cats and their behavior.
Thank you all for your responses. Felix finally sat still long enough to get a few more very clear and good pictures. Im new to this. How can I upload 2 additional photos to this post? My vet mentioned he could possibly be a Nebelung?
How pretty or should I say handsome!!
I love him!! I agree with the vet about the Nebelung, but the part, since he doesn't have the green eyes.
Perhaps Persian or Chartreux?
What a sweetie!! Is he very vocal?
Wishing you many happy adventures!!
