We recently adopted this kitten. He is 4 months old. He has pretty large paws for his age and we've noticed a lot of hair coming out of his ears. My wife thinks it's a Maine coon cat, but I don't think so. Any suggestions would be appreciated?

It has the M on its forehead so it could have some tabby in it too.
I agree with your wife. Your cats looks like a Maine Coon cat. This breed of cat has an "M" marking on its head similar to the marking seen on a tabby cat.
What a sweet boy!! He looks cuddly!!
He has tabby coloring with the M, but as to breeds, I would venture to guess he is a mix between a Siberian and a American Shorthair.
If there is Maine Coon, which is possible, but I think unlikely, it is not in the ears or the shape of the face. It could be in the paws :)
Although, Siberian's tend to have chubby, hairy paws too!!
Wishing you a lot of joy from your sweetie!!
I would have to agree with your wife. Looks like a Maine Coon mix to me. Very handsome little fella! Maine Coons are large cats that have big feet like that.
Whatever this kitty is he is going to be large. He doesn't really look like a Siberian to me ( I have two of them) Siberians are known as the Sherman Tanks of the cat world. The are round and chunky and big. Maine Coons are angular and athletic looking and big. He looks like a Maine Coon cross, at least 50% Maine Coon. He's beautiful.
As to breed...only growing will tell, but when I enlarge the top photo, at least the left front foot looks like it has a couple extra toes. It's called polydactyl...just like all of Earnest Hemmingway's cats were.
