Our cat's name is Skylar and she was a stray kitten that we took in. She's now 7-8 years old. We live in south Texas. I included various pictures, we would really like to know the closest breed she relates to. Any help is greatly appreciated!

She looks like she has calico in her
Well - she certainly looks like a well-loved baby!
I like that she has a lot of white and that is not so with all calicos.
SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like a long haired calico!
What a sweet face! Hugs!
I had a friend who showed cats, and she always politely corrected me about breed vs color. She said calico is a color pattern and many breeds have this coloring. A breed site is http://cattime.com
A wiki on color is en.m.wikipedia.org/
Your sweetie looks like a mix. I am not as good with cat breeds as dogs. Maybe your vet has some ideas based on lines, teeth, jaw, ears and tail!
Enjoy her!!
Possibly your beautiful calico-colored cat is a mixed breed with Persian, Himalayan or Maine Coon as part of the mix. Looking through the breeds at www.cat-breeds-encyclopedia.com/Long-haired-cat-breeds.html might help you determine breed or combination of breeds Skylar is.
What we know for sure is that Skylar is a long haired dilute calico. Dilute means the colors are muted. Calico means she has 3 colors, white black and buff. To really know what breeding she may have you will need to get a dna kit to test her.
Definitely she is a calico which as stated is a common cat pattern as it is a mix of two different colourings in cat, a genetic genotype occuring only in females (because xx chromosomes)
I would guess Himalayan because she does nto seem to have the pug face of most Persians
