My brother and sister say that our dog Brutus is a mix of Golden Retriever, but I'm not sure. My dad and stepmom got our dog from her boss, but I just wanted to see if you guys could help me.

Runt male Boxer dogs without docked ears and tails
I think you'll see hundreds if not thousands of images looking JUST like your very handsome lad. I'd be surprised if he's mixed anything but especially Golden - the only golden in that dog is his fawn-red coat:)
I raised AKC Boxers in the US over 40 years and also did breed rescue - check with a good canine vet of course, but I'm 99.9% sure this is a full blooded Boxer who simply didn't arrive to the world looking like a show Boxer, and please believe me there are more non-show looking Boxers out there than there are show quality!
He looks as though he was the runt of the litter (those very small narrow feet are a dead giveaway), and for breeding purposes his conformation (appearance, etc) is all wrong - to be brutally frank he's loaded with what are called 'faults'. If he's not neutered yet, please neuter him as soon as possible to prevent passing on those 'undesirable' traits, but most importantly to prevent him developing cancers. Boxers for some reason do tend to cancers especially of the reproductive organs.
He does look to be around five or more years old from the white in his 'eyebrows' and muzzle - this is a breed characteristic of an older Boxer but I could be wrong, so consult your vet regarding his age and the advisability of having him neutered now.
Don't let my saying he has 'faults' cause you to look less favourably at him - he looks like he's the typical Boxer being very, very intelligent, incredibly loyal, easily trained no matter the age, and are excellent indoor dogs - better in than out with a Boxer, you'd be amazed at how little room one needs inside as long as he/she gets plenty of exercise outside. They tend to be couch potatoes, lol - once they hit the carpet they head straight for the most comfy spot to lounge!
But Golden? No. Again, consult a vet, but after decades of breed rescue I have to say I've never once seen a Boxer Golden mix that looked like your very handsome (but badly conformed, in BreederSpeak) Boxer male.
