We adopted Link a couple of weeks ago. We know that the mom is a Catahoula (not sure if mixed). We were told that dad was possibly a Great Dane or Dane mix. But I'm not sure I buy it. I don't see much Dane in him, and he doesn't seem big enough at 8 months old to be part Dane. He's about 56 pounds (at 8 months). His tail curls up. He's very energetic, and bouncy. He uses his front paws for everything, and loves to jump up to you, and hug. He is also very cuddly when he stops playing "tug" or "fetch" - both of which he loves. I keep thinking maybe Doberman. He definitely has a "big boy" bark and he's very protective. Any thoughts?

The first time I looked at your pictures I thought Great Dane. The second look was Doberman because of his face. Just his frame looks so much like a Dane. If i had to bet money I would have to say Great Dane.
I have no ideas, but he looks so sweet, and he sounds like a fun dog to have! Best wishes to you and your new friend for lots of fun times together!
