We adopted our pup from a shelter and they estimated he was about six months old at the time, and possibly a Mastiff/Shepherd mix. He's still growing, but it seems to be mostly his legs getting longer, as his body has stayed the same size, but his legs are much longer than when we got him. We don't think he's big enough to be a Mastiff at his age and size, but wonder what he could be. He has a very long tail that just recently started to curl up when he walks. He is very intelligent and has a very sweet-natured, happy disposition. Any thoughts?

Great Dane tails curl up when they walk and Mastiff's have a thick body. Your boy looks like he's more Shepherd and I bet he loves you with all his heart for rescuing him. He's one lucky dog to have a family that not only chose him but loves him too.
Thank you, you are very sweet. Your input was helpful too. He's been the best puppy ever, so we were very lucky to find him.
