I was wondering what type of Chihuahua my dog may be? When I got him I was told he was a full Chihuahua, but I'm not sure and the vet has never said anything.
Thank you.

I personally don't think this dog is a full blood Chihuahua. He is awful heavy and big for this breed dog.
- You will need to do a DNA test in order to determine if your dog is full blood or mixed blood. This is the only way to determine the breed or mixed breed of your dog.
- You can ask your vet to do the test for you.
- However, I would suggest that you ask the price before doing the test.
- Some vet's are expensive and it cost a lot to do this test.
- However, there is good news. You can buy a home DNA kit from Amazong or another pet supply store online. You can look at your local pet store near you and see if they sell this kit.
- Purchase your kit and do the test yourself at home.

This does not appear to be a full chihuahua. He is certainly part chihuahua, but is too big to be full, and the ears are too small.
