Just looking at his long face and colouring, what occurs to me is Irish Setter, save that in these setters the hair is usually longer.

of course to truly see what sort of dog she is, a vet's attention, and possibly a DNA test, are the only way to tell.

Only a DNA test will tell you for sure.
