What Breed Is My Dog? - black puppy in yard with soccer ball I am trying to figure out the breed of my 5 month old rescue puppy. We adopted her 3 weeks ago, mum is thought to be Labrador, dad is unknown. She has 2 white toes on each back foot and some white hair on chin. Some of her sisters had white chests, 4 white paws, and a white line down their face (much like a Border Collie). I would really be interested in any thoughts.

I had a black lab many years ago (maybe a mix - I never knew) and she was such a smart and loving dog that I have recommended Labs to everyone who has a home/yard for a large dog. I wish she could have lived forever.

I believe your dog will give you lots of love and pleasant times and it will not matter what a DNA test tells you.
If you really wish to know her mix you can buy a DNA test kit or it can be done at some pet stores (PetSmart maybe) or your vet. Kits can be ordered on line from many sites like Amazon, eBay and many Pet Store sites. The cost is usually from $65 - 200 dollars. Just Google dog DNA test and your zip for stores in your area.
