He doesn't look pit to me. He does look part Jack Russell Terrier.
I agree with Judy. He doesn't look like a pit mix to me. I'm thinking maybe a Lab mix because of the shape of the head and the size of his feet.
I don't see any of the, what are traditionally called Pit terrier breed marks...but I am not an expert, just a pup aficionado!
Ask your vet what he/she thinks by looking at the teeth, jaw, hips, etc.
I see some border collie in the mix, maybe a little lab in the ears, perhaps a little hound (maybe beagle).
We call them Heinz 57 pups in Pittsburgh and love them for their special secret sauce beauty!!! ENJOY!!
