I adopted Riley 3 years ago around age 1 1/2 - 2 years old. She was listed as a Shepherd, but until recently several people believed she has a lot of Ridgeback. Then I saw a pic of a Pit Bull Terrier and it was almost an exact match. Does anyone recognize a particular breed, or even a mix?

Her body looks pitbull to me. She may have some kind of hound in her.

She looks like a classic Heinz 57 dog, which is what we Pittsburgher's call a dog with all kinds of neat things in her lineage!! I see shepherd around the ears, some Rhodesian Ridgeback in those high haunches, and a drop of lab in her coloring and her snout!
The vet may have some better ideas based on things I can't see like her teeth, jaws, bone structure, hips etc.

I see characteristics of a Ridgeback for sure. I have a Ridgeback with similar characteristics. My dog has a wonderful personality and loves to be loved. I think Pghgirl40 is right in that your dog is probably a mix of several breeds. Personally, I don't think she looks like a pit.
To me she looks like a pit/black mouth cur mix.
I can see the Ridgeback though the Ridgeback is a more sleek, large, areodynamic dog. This does have more of the muscular stocky build of the Pitt.
Healthy looking dog..
She does resemble a Ridgeback from photos but it does look like most of the older Ridgeback's ears are longer and more "floppy" and hang down more than your dog.
