I think she is around 5 months old. I was told she's a Chihuahua and if so is she an apple or deer head? Also she weighs 1lb 2oz.

Your little darling is precious. I think she looks more like a deer head chihuahua than an apple head chihuahua. You might find the information at www.chihuahuawardrobe.com/deer-head-vs-apple-head-chihuahua-whats-the-difference/ interesting.
She looks like a deer head to me.
She's such a sweet girlie girl. I see mostly lines of a deer head, bit a slight rounding of the apple. She could be a mix.
Hugs and kisses for her!! Happy adventure!!!
What a cutie neat to see black as the fawn/tan seems to be more common.
She is probably a mix and may even have other breeds in her past but these may not affect her looks as much as her size.
If you had the opportunity to meet the parents you would probably have a better idea as to how she will look as she ages.
This breed seems to be very loving but tend to be 'one person' pets.
One of my sons has had Chihuahuas for many years and has to be careful that he lets them 'socialize' with other people and other animals are they seem to be very unhappy when he has to leave them either by themselves or with other adults.
Try to keep this in mind because it will be all too easy to just keep such a cutie all to yourself.
I believe her features will be more distinguishable in a few months.
Doggie DNA kits are available now and getting more affordable all the time.
I think it is really cool to find out about our ancestors.
If you are interested, I would suggest checking out the kits at PetSmart as this is a really great store but also very 'into' animal rescue and adoption. Also, they usually have a vet tech in their stores and they could tell you a lot about your pup - for free!
