Can anyone tell me what breed this little guy is, we got him as a gift for my son. We have him now for about 3 weeks and he is such a sweet little guy very loving and friendly. When my son plays outside he (the pup) would just come and bite him, my son is 5 and is actually becoming scared to play cause he has bitten him so hard that you can see the teeth marks on his arms. We know he is just playing with my son he is just a pup after all, he doesn't want to play with his toys we got him. Can someone pls help with this?

He looks part pitbull. You have to remove him from your son and say no firmly when he bites. He will learn quickly
He looks like he has some pit and black lab in him. If he is bitting your son this behavior has to stop immediately. You need to teach the dog it is wrong to bite. I know all puppies will bit when they are small and when they are getting in their adult teeth. However, if you do not start now this behavior will continue and it will be hard to stop him when he gets older.
Aww....sweet puppy face. He looks like a mixed breed...I see lots of different things in there...some lab, some beagle, maybe a little American Staffordshire Terrier.
It is really important to train puppies from the beginning about the right and wrong things to bite.
Your vet may have a favorite way so ask him or her. There are a lot of good puppy training videos on YouTube if you are visual and want to watch a few. Last resort would be to take him to a puppy obedience class (done as a family) or hire a dog trainer who works with the family.
The key is EVERYONE, including your young son, has to be consistent with the pup and not give him mixed messages. That is hard when your son is so young.
The other key is do not yell at the dog or give any sign of reassurance when he "forgets" and bites. What I mean by reassurance is if you talk to him or look at him when he bites, he may think he did something good. It is important when he does something wrong to totally ignore him. Turn your back or walk away. Dogs are pack animals and learn pretty quickly what is and is not good pack behavior.
Post back with updates. Prayers for a quick correction and good doggy manners taking hold quickly! Dogs are very smart and if you find his sweet spot for rewards (food, toys, praise) he will learn what you want (NO BITING) quickly! The humans have to be consistent though! That truly is the key!
