What kind of dog does he look like? He is supposed to be mixed with German Shepherd. We wanted a big dog because we have a male that is big and wanted to get him a playmate. What do you think he may be mixed with? Does he look like he will be a big dog?

He sort of looks like he is a mixed breed with maybe some black lab in him. By the look of his feet, he looks like he will be a good size dog. The vet can help out a bit more because he is still a baby. You need to take him in for his shots and at this time when the vet weighs him will be the best way to tell about how large he will be when he is full-grown at around 18 to 24 months.

Aww!!! What a sweet face! Big paws often mean big dog, but I can tell you, my boy who is a dachshund, had huge paws as a pup and he is a whopping 15 pounds now. We call his feet Clydesdale, because they are so big!
That said, your sweet pup looks like a hound, lab, and maybe Staffordshire terrier mix. There could even be a little Malinois or Rottie. I don't see any Shepherd, but he is still so young, his features may change.
The vet can give you a good idea by seeing things I can't, like his teeth, jaw, hips, and bone structure.
He looks quite solid as a pup, so that does bode well for him being on the larger size.

Your dog looks like he could be a German shepherd/chow/lab mix. If he has any purple coloring on his tongue that can verify there's chow in the mix.
