Your dog may be missed. I think maybe a Beauceron - here is more info on this breed. - en.wikipedia.org/
I don't think there is an exact breed name for your dog. It looks like a mixed breed to me. He looks like he has some black lab in him, maybe from the color under the stomach there could be some boxer because of his chest area.
He looks a lot like a breed I have wanted to meet, a Formosan Mountain Dog.
At first I thought one of the Mallimois breeds, but I lean to FMD. What does your vet say? The vet can see what I can't..teeth, has, bones etc! Post back what you learn! Sweet face!!
Your vet can probably give more information than we can but if you knew or had information on the parents that would probably be good start.
If you adopted your dog from a shelter perhaps they have some information but I feel sure you do not have a 'pure bred' and the only way to know for sure is with a DNA test.
