What Breed Is My Dog?

My puppy just turned a year old. Since day one I've been trying to guess what breeds he could be. He was rescued along with his brother, who now lives with my brother.

I was told a Shepherd mix when I rescued them. They are extremely smart dogs. They weigh 55 and 60 pounds.
