I rescued my beautiful dog Gunner in June 2014 from a shelter. They gave me a long story about how he was half Weimaraner and half Boxer due to his parents accidently "getting together" at a AKC dog show. He looked a lot like a Weimaraner as a puppy; he also has webbed feet.

40+years experience raising AKC Boxers and doing breed rescue (including mix-cross) in the US before permanent relocation to the UK, and my cousin's 30+years with American Staffordshire Terriers (aka pit bull) tells me you have a really adorable Boxer-Staffie there crossed with something else - very likely Weimaraner.
Do an online image search using all three breeds for your search term - boxer-staffie-weimaraner dogs - would be a good search term. Also run a search on - boxer-staffie - and boxer-weimaraner - to get a really good idea of all the different throws with these combinations.
I wouldn't discount the dog's creation legend altogether, though - believe me this happens more often than many breeders will be honest enough to admit. We're careful at shows, but, well, stuff happens especially if an inexperienced breeder brings an in-season female to a show.
The only thing making the legend hard to believe is that there does appear to be three breeds in your dog's gene pool, and that very-very-very rarely happens at a show! In fact, it shouldn't happen at all at an AKC event...
Two, yes, because the sire and dam are presumably purebreds back through all generations - if this breeding result truly happened at an AKC show, the Boxer or the Weimaraner were not real purebreds because there is very clearly Staffie in your dog. Someone presented false papers because a mix would never be permitted to be shown at an AKC event and believe me, the show officials are scrupulous about checking pedigrees!
Thank-you for a nice afternoon tea-break giggle at the sitting dog - that's a quintessential happy Boxer trait so clearly you're doing it right. A Boxer (or Boxer mix) just doesn't feel safe sitting like that unless very happy in his/her home. Well done you!
