This is my little baby Belly. I got her from a shelter at 1yr, they had her listed as a German Shepherd mix. She is definitely a mix, but almost certainly not GSD. She stands 27" and weighs 65# all of it muscle, seriously this pup's cut like Rambo. She is a wild thing, full of energy, but is also very sweet. People usually assume she is an APB mix because she is a short haired little muscle mutt. I'm fine with Pits and love her, but mixed with what? Lately I've been thinking possibly Rhodesian Ridgeback, her personality traits seem to line up. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Zach:) What I'm seeing (after 40+years raising AKC Boxers, my cousin raising American Staffordshire Terriers, and both of us doing years of breed rescue) is a Boxer-Staffie mix. I'm giggling about her being even part GSD - the closest she comes to that is maybe there was a GSD in the kennel next to her before you made her part of your family, lol!
Consult your vet, and do an online image search for - Boxer-Staffie mix - and I think the vet and the photos will confirm my thinking.
Gorgeous dog but yes, a lot of people who see her will insist she's a Pit Bull - so once the vet and photos confirm this is a Boxer-Staffie be sure to politely correct those who do to avoid potential problems (hysterical neighbours, etc).
Be sure you're up-to-date on your local laws regarding Boxer-Staffie mix dogs as some locales do regard them as 'Dangerous Breed' dogs and have a number of laws regarding how they're kept.
