I bought my pup when she was 10 weeks old and only saw the father of these pups at a farm as the mother had just been taken for a walk. The father was a Lab and I was told the mother is a Border Collie, but I didn't see her. You don't know if you should believe, because people are saying my pup is a mix of different breeds because her hair was wavy. Since she's gotten older her hair has gotten longer and straighter. She's got a Labrador face, but really long hair. She's pure black and has long legs. She has learned commands very quickly.
The first pic is of my Jett now at 10 months and the 2nd pic is her at 10 weeks when I just bought her and was bringing her home.

Hiya Stace from a bit farther north (NE Scotland)! I know most Border Collies have a lot of white but we see quite a number of cross breeds like yours up here and your adorable dog looks as though she is precisely as described: a beautiful Border-Lab.
Check with your vet but I can't see anything else in her. Not surprised to hear she learns quickly as that is a breed characteristic of both breeds. Smart as whips, they are - you've got a great dog!
