I got Roy from the pound when he was 3 months old. And the ladies at the pound said he was a Pit Terrier. As he's grown we came to discover he is not a Pit Terrier. He is twice the size and just does have the features.

Actually I think your dog does have a lot of American Staffordshire Terrier in him (proper name for pit bull, although I understand the AKC has or is about to recognise an official American Pit Bull Terrier, they're not at all different from ASTs from what my cousin - a breeder with over 40 years experience - tells me).
I raised AKC Boxers and did breed rescue - your dog doesn't look like a Boxer-Staffie cross to me, but does look like many of the Staffie-Hounds my cousin rescued.
Check with your vet to get an idea of which Hound breed your Staffie is crossed with, and if there are any laws in force regarding how/if Staffies and Staffie crosses are legislated in your area. Many locales have begun labelling these dogs as dangerous breeds and have either banned them outright or put several laws in place regarding insurance, fencing, lead+muzzle in public or around the vulnerable (children, elderly, physically or mentally challenged, etc).
