Is my puppy a Boxer mix? We got this puppy a few days ago. She was rescued from a high kill shelter by a sweet lady who rehomed her to us. The shelter had her listed as a Boxer mix. I am just curious as to what others think. Our veterinarian said she looks like a possible Boxer/Pit mix or a Lab/Pit or Lab/Boxer mix. She's got wavy hair on part of her back. Any ideas?

I'd go with Boxer-Lab, with the Lab mixed with Golden Retriever to explain the wavy coat. I did breed rescue and AKC Boxer breeding 40+ years in the US before relocating to my parents native UK, and that's what I'm seeing in your dog.
I can understand why the vet thinks there might be some 'pit' (proper name is American Staffordshire Terrier) because when Boxers and Labs crossed with Goldens have a litter, the puppies do tend to have something of a bull terrier look to the head especially around the eyes - like yours does.
But the 'wavy coat' is a dead giveaway for her NOT having any Staffie in her - Staffies don't have wavy coats anywhere in their gene pool, end of. Neither do Boxers, btw, but if she's a Boxer crossed with a Lab with Golden Retriever in them, the wavy coat does show up the way it has with your little love.
Too, tbh you don't want to even suggest or consider her as a Boxer-Staffie as so many locales both here in the UK and the US now legislate against these crosses as being 'dangerous dogs.
I'm confident she's a Boxer-Lab based on years of seeing hundreds of these cross types, and I'd make the effort to encourage the vet to see her as that cross as well to avoid the above mentioned 'dangerous dogs' laws in your area.
Enjoy your new companion, she's lovely!
