I want to rescue this dog. I don't have much info on the little guy. This is all they said in their ad: "Sly is a wonderful 4 month old Spaniel/Aussie mix. He will be about 50lbs. Sly is up to date on his vaccines and dewormed. Sly likes other dogs and is great with kids." But I am sort of doubting his breeds. Opinions?

Unless you adopt the dog this one is hard for anyone to say what breed he really is. If you adopt the dog you can do a DNA test and this will tell you for sure what his breed or mixed breed is. Sorry it is not a lot to go on and it is hard to really tell from a photo.
