We got Izzy from a rescue when she was a few weeks old. She was advertised as a GSD mix. Currently at 10 months, she's around 40-45lbs, which is somewhat small for a GSD. Some of her features include a shorter snout, and a ring tail. Her paws are definitely smaller than I've seen in other GSD and her back is straight, not slanted. We love her either way, but have always wondered what her makeup is.

She looks like my dog. My dog is a Shepherd/Lab cross and is a small female with the straight back and slightly shorter snout, which you describe.
To me...no matter what breed she is, I can see that she is a beautiful dog, enjoy what you might think she is. I hope you enjoy many years with her.
Might just be me, but the 1st thing that came to mind is that she looks like a dingo with german shepherd coloring.
Looks like a GSD mixed with something a little smaller. Whatever she is, she is a beautiful girl! May you have many long and happy years together.
