I got him about a month ago from my friend. He told me that his mom is a full-blooded red nose Pit, but he don't know the other half.

That's a full-on Staffie (the nickname for the correct name for what many people mistakenly call pit bulls - American Staffordshire Terriers). Mum may well have been a Red Nose, but with that body (especially the quintessential Staffie chest, forepaw-shoulder combination, and the brindle colouring that often comes up when two Staffies of different types are bred), Dad was likely a black or brindle Staffie.
Gorgeous dog - as his human you need to be clear and compliant with any local laws regarding the keeping of what many locales are now (wrongly in my opinion) automatically labelling as dangerous dogs. You may have to have specialty insurance, high stout fencing, and keep your dog leashed and muzzled in public and/or around vulnerable people - children under 16, the physically or mentally challenged, and elderly.
Your vet will know the laws in your area, and as a bonus will help you have a healthy, well integrated family dog who serves as a goodwill ambassador for the breed.
