I just recently found a dog on the streets so I decided to keep him. He is about a month and a half and I don't know have any ideas on what he might be. Does anybody have any ideas?

Hiya from Scotland, Eric! I relocated here to my parents native UK after retiring from 40+years of raising AKC Boxers and doing breed rescue work; my cousin raised American Staffordshire Terriers.
Your puppy looks like a Boxer-Staffie cross in the photo you've posted - hard to tell for sure but it looks as though the Staffie was a Brindle for the coat to throw in the brindle and black colouration.
His snout/muzzle is a little narrow so there might be something else in there - possible one of the narrow snouted hound breeds. His head and what I can see of his body says Boxer to me (ASTs have an inverted V from 'eyebrows' to top of the characteristic flat head and yours doesn't have that; in a Boxer-Staffie cross the 'top-knotted' Boxer head usually throws dominant - just like your little guy's head is showing).
Do an online image search using the two breeds as your search term and I'm pretty sure you'll see what I mean. Then check with your vet to be certain, and be sure to find out if your area bans these dogs (and crosses) outright, or if there are laws regarding fencing, insurance, leads and muzzles in public or around 'vulnerable' people like children and elderly, etc.
Use the 'Net, your local library, bookstore, and Leisure Services (for obedience and behaviour training) to ensure you understand your dog's needs - both breeds have characteristics and health issues you'll need to keep an eye on. In a proper (gentle yet firm, loving, happy) home, these dogs are fab companions and you should have years of happy life together.
If you decide this is all too much for you, please be sure to find a quality breed rescue group to rehome this little guy to a home able to provide the kind of life a Boxer-Staffie needs.
