What kind of Husky is my dog? I recently adopted Zoey, she is said to be one and half years old. But, I am convinced she is younger by her looks and the way she acts. Many people have said she doesn't look like pure bred Siberian Husky. Some have said maybe she has some wolf in her.

Are there local breeders around that breed hybrids?
I have seen MANY huskies and own a hybrid/husky. They all look different. Some have short hair, some have more hair than others. It depends. She looks like she could be full blooded husky and she also could have wolf in her.
My hybrid is 30% white artic/timberwolf and 70% Siberian husky! No one knows she is a hybrid. And for the record, she gets all the same vacines any other dog gets and she does not react any differently towards them. The vet knows she is a hybrid. The vaccine thing in just a rumor. There is nothing that proves that vaccines react any differently in hybrids to other dogs.
I included a pic of my puppy for comparison! She was born August 2008!

We adopted this guy and they said he's an Alaskan Husky, but I can't seem to find any pictures that look similar to him. His tail is a little bushy and curls back to touch his spine area and looks a bit wolfish to us?
There are two different white husky dogs and one is the Siberian husky and the other is the Isabella Huskies. The Isabella Huskies have a slightly yellow or beige coloring running down their back which can be seen in the right kind of light.
It is possible that your dog is not pure Husky. It might be a Husky - Samoyed cross. Samoyeds have bushy tails and usually carry them curled over their backs near the butt. Either way, it's a beautiful dog.
Beautiful dog!
It is really difficult to tell about young dogs as they change so rapidly as they put on weight and grow inches overnight!
You do not say how old he is and since there is no full picture this makes it even more difficult.
I was thinking maybe some German Shepard mix but then you say his tail is bushy and curls back over his spine and German Shepards usually have a straight kinda slender tail.
Looks like he has a lot of Husky features but the only way to know for sure is with a DNA test. These test kits cost $40 - several hundred dollars and can be purchased online, pet stores or from your vet.
You can check out different pictures of the Alaskan Husky and the German Shepard to see some of the differences.

Be sure your pup gets all of his first year shots/vaccinations:
I got him when he was 3 months old. I just want to know what kind of Husky he is so I can know better how to deal with him.
My daughter has a Siberian Husky that looks exactly like your dog. I do believe he is a Siberian Husky and he is beautiful. The dog my daughter has is a handful and it needs to have a large place to run and she needs to take him out 3 to 4 times a day for walks. They are very active dogs and need to exert a lot of energy when they are out running around.
What a devious look! He must be planning something!!
Beautiful dog - may not be purebred Siberian Husky - but probably close.
Your vet can help with this question but not as to whether he is purebred as only a DNA test can pinpoint breeds and mix of other breeds.
Huskies are very big eaters and need loads of exercise. Best to have a large outdoor area and/or lots of time to take to parks and on long walks.
Interesting article...

I would like to know what kind of Husky my puppy is. She is about to turn two years old! I also feel like if I know I will be able to care for her better!

She came to me at 1 1/2 years old, now 2. Very active, spunky, affectionate, has an amazing nose and hunts like no other. What is type of Husky is she?
I just got her a week ago; she is 6 months old. The previous owner said she was a Husky, but wasn't sure.
What breed of Husky is my puppy? We recently got her from a friend. She is said to be 5 months old. We would love to know so we know what to expect.
I got a beautiful Husky that was found at the dump. Can someone tell me what kind?
It could be an Alaskan husky.
I think it's either an Alaskan Husky or possibly an Alaskan Husky/German Shepherd mix.
Siberian Alaska Husky is my vote!
He looks like an Alaskan husky. I know that a lot of people bought these dogs because John Snow had one. They found out later on when the dogs grew up they needed a lot of room to run so they just took the dogs to shelters or even let them loose to fend for themselves.
She looks like a full blooded Alaskan Husky to me. Beautiful dog.
This is my 7 month old pup Preston. I got him from a lady through a friend at work. She said he was just a "Husky " and I was wondering what kind he is. Thanks!
Heis six months old so I don't know if you and tell yet, but I'm still wondering what type of dog he is.
Any help?
What kind of Husky do I have because I can't figure him out.
I'm not sure what breed she is since her fur has a lot of colors, especially on her back. Her eyes seem to be light brown and she's not fully grown yet, but I would like to know what she'll be like when she's bigger.
She looks like a mix of husky and another breed or two. What does the vet say?
