What factors determine the cost of a mobile application?
I've worked with mobile app developing teams and it really honestly depends on what the developer wants out of it, in general. I have done work for a company that wanted $2.99 flat for the app per user as a flat fee, but I've also done work for companies that have ongoing services where they either charge a bigger sum per year or a monthly fee. It depends on how it works and what it offers you. But truly, the developer can choose!
What determines cost of mobile app.
There are many apps on the market today and some developers offer their apps for free. They are similar to open source programs. However, in free apps the manufacture is still making money from you installing his app. Each time one of the ads appears and you click on this ad the manufacture is paid for you doing this.
While other manufactures would rather charge a flat rate for their app and not use advertising as a way to be paid for their work.
Then on the other hand there are apps that need constant updating and these manufactures will charge a yearly fee to use the app. You have the option to renew your contract when the year is up.
