I got my German Shepherd from his previous owner about a month ago, and was told he is a full bred. However, when I took him to the vet one day, my vet said he is not a full bred, but she couldn't remember the name of the other breed. My German Shepherd (Bruno) is currently 5 months old and weighs 65lbs. Can anyone help me identify what Bruno is mixed with? Guesses would be helpful as well. Thank you :)

The only way to truly find out is with a home DNA test kit. This will tell you if the dog is full blooded or mixed. It is hard to really tell you what the dog is mixed with because he does look so much like a German Sheperd.
To me'and I,m no professional it looks like it might be crossed with a Grayhound dog, but remember I,m no professional, but I,m sure it,s the look of half greyhound,it has the long lanky legs, and same shape head and muzzle as a gray hound dog,I think.
Im pretty sure it's a German Shepherd coonhound mix. I have a mainly coonhound, part chihuahua, part schnauzer and they look similar.
