What Is My Puppy Mixed With?

His name is Gunner and we got him from the animal shelter. They told us he is German Shepherd mixed with something (common story). We took him to the vet and they told us he is part Malamute. The more I research, however, the more I think differently. All I know is he will be huge! He is 4 1/2 months and is getting so heavy.

He is really smart and already knows a lot of keywords, sit, outside, bed, (almost stay and lay down). He is very observant and boy does he have a good noise.He is always on the hunt for something. He is definitely a cuddle bug (as he's on my lap now), but loves being outdoors and playing with the other dogs. I trust him enough to where I can leave him in the house and come back to not much damage (maybe some torn up firewood or a shoe if I leave one out), but overall he is very trustworthy.

I love him to death, but just curious as to what he's mixed with. He has soft short hair on his chest, but his back hair is a bit courser and starting to get wavy. Anything helps thanks!
