It could be a type of chigger. Put the bugs in a sealed plastic bag and take it where they sell pesticides. They will identify it and sell you the right pesticide.

Web MD has a great match the bite to the bug link:

www.webmd.com/.../slideshow-bad-bugs

You can click through using the side to side arrows.

If none of these match, take the bug to the doctor's office and have them look at it and the bites. I am not an expert, but your bites look infected..so I strongly suggest talking to your doctor sooner rather than later!

We recently purchased a mobile home and are in the process of cleaning it. There are brown rust-like spots on the walls and even in one of the cupboards.

It is a darkish brown color. We think it might be some kind of bug or maybe mold? Any ideas? Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

Since this is a mobile home you will have to be careful what you use on your walls as a some of the walls are made with the 'paper' attached to some type of 'board' material and if you put something on it that could cause damage to wall that would look much worse than what you already have.

Everything appears to be a guess so why not wipe over the spots with white vinegar and get a small can of whatever color you need and touch up the spots so they will not be so noticeable to you.

Just make sure there are no bugs in your new home and that should take care of that.
Enjoy your new place.

Try to remove it with bleach. Bleach removes mold. Keep an eye out for reappearance. If you have a dampness problem you may see mold and mildew.

First clean with warm soap and water. Dry completely . Than use bleach/ water with cloth or scrub brush. Dry. Repeat if necessary. This cleans and disinfect the area .

Test in a place that is inconspicuous to clean using a sponge with a little salt, a little baking soda and vinegar to foam up with the baking soda. The salt will give it a bit of abrasion. If it comes clean and does no damage to that spot, you can use it widely on like surfaces. Let it dry overnight and make sure the spots are gone if it works.

Post back how it goes!
