I have several of these growing around my home. I thought it might be wild comfrey, but I am not sure. I would appreciate any help.

It looks like Pokeweed. It is a native plant that pops up quite often. People used to eat the young leaves, but they would have to boil it, change the water and boil it again since it is toxic. Allen's Vegetables sold it in cans.
