I was about to cut the grass when I noticed on odd plant growing in my lawn. The bright red balls are about 1 cm wide or 1/2 an inch. They kind of look like small bright lychees. Nothing has been planted here except for grass seed. I'm located in southern Ontario in case my location might help.

The leaves around the Reds look like strawberry
DUCHESNEA INDICA - A type of strawberry. very similar to alpine strawberries, are produced all summer, on a creeping evergreen carpet. This is the more-vigorous form of the variegated form and is perfect hanging over a wall or on a rockery, where it will stifle all low-lying weeds.
