This is a purple flower I found in my garden. It is bell shaped with a large stem and no visible leaves. Some stems droop at the top and others keep growing upwards. I think it's a bellflower, but want to be sure it isn't poisonous.

You do have bluebells and most sites say they are poisonous but not everyone agrees to what extent. Most say they are toxic and will make almost anything sick but others disagree and say they have them around humans, animals with no harm.

It is a bluebell. I think they are ok unless eaten. I had a cat once who chewed on one and had to go to the vet.
