I've been searching and can't figure out what type of plant this is. It's tripled in size since I got it free on Craigslist a year ago, but I would love to still read about care or know when to report it. It's vines coil and the leaves are purple underneath. Also, there's a bunch of white dots that appeared on the top of the soil 3 or so months ago. Should I be concerned? It doesn't seem to have impacted the plant at all.

This looks like a Wandering Jew plant. It makes a great hanging plant as well.
Could be a teddy bear plant.
Most people think of the purple and/or variegated plant when they hear Wandering Jew but there is a variety of green also. It is very easy to care for and new plants from cuttings usually do very well.

Here is one for sale on eBay:
Could the white stuff on the soil have been something like perlite that was mixed in the soil when planted?
