I got this great plant today. Is it a type of spider plant?

I do not believe it is a spider plant or a wandering jew but it is difficult to tell for sure as the plant looks like it has pink undertones but I can't tell if that is the plant or a reflection with your camera.
It resembles a Dracaena to me but if it is pink then probably not. There are several species in the Dracaena family so maybe you can look at a couple and decide for yourself. Click on the link but wait a few seconds for a photo to appear:

I found this one that resembles it: Rhoeo Bermudensis.
