This is a plant at work and I was wondering what it is. It has purple stems at the base.

This looks like a type of philodendron.
It may be in the Philodendron family but does not resemble any that I have had contact with.
Do you know if this is a newer plant or has it been growing in the same spot over a period of time?
I don't suppose you could inquire of anyone at work? A landscaper or gardener? That would be the fastest way and then we could all know the identity.
The pattern in the leaf reminds me of types of milkweed leaves
Where do you live? That might help us to identify the plant. Also, if you keep an eye on it over the summer, it might flower or fruit. That would make the identification easier too.
Totally looks like something in the rubber or fig family to me!
