It looks like a rubber tree, a ficus elastic.

Hello !
It's a Cordyline , maybe Cordyline fructosa, it is often mistaken with a Dracaena but its roots are white when the Dracaena rooots are deep yellow or orange. As you put it in a place where it's receiving plenty of light the beautiful red an pink shades of its leaves should soon show more.
Check which kind of cares it needs as it is the beautiful but fussy kind.
