Okay, so my grandparents gave me this plant, and they didn't know what it is either. It has rubbery-feeling, roundish leaves with kind of scalloped edges. The stalk is sectioned off like you might see on bamboo. I started it off by a window when it was bigger, but it started to die, so I moved it into the shade, and it did better for a while, but it has recently dried almost completely out. I cut off the last remaining green bit and replanted it in an attempt to save it, but I feel like if I knew what it was, I could better understand how to save it. If anyone can identify it, please help!

It does look like a kalanchoe blossfeldiana and if it is, it needs to be put back in full light and should be given very little water specially during automn or winter and never on its leaves. Kalanchoe can stand full light but will die if overwatered. A traditional kalanchoe will not grow higher than 30 cm and can spend the summer outside. Kalanchoe is toxic.
It looks like a rubber plant.
Try researching Kalanchoe blossfeldiania.
It looks like a Kalanchoe to me. It likes bright light with some direct sun especially in the winter. Water sparely allowing the top of the soil to dry out between watering.
