I rescued this from the trash. At least I think I rescued it. All the stems were broken, but there are root buds on them. I put the stems in water and replanted the root ball. I don't know what kind of light it needs, though. Any ideas? Thanks!

I think it's an arrowhead plant, Anna. You'll see pictures of all kinds on Google Images. Mine is thriving on a shelf in my kitchen, beside the window but out of direct sunlight. I water it twice a week with about a third cup of water each time.
Sorry to say I can't tell you if either method of propogation works (the root ball or cuttings in water). Good luck!
