Your photo is not so clear and the snake is very large. Some garden snakes can get large like this from time to time.
Does this snake try to wrap around you at all. If it does this could be a boa snake. I have seen some like this before.
I would go with a large garden snake or even a boa. Sorry it is really hard to tell from your photo.
