Not positive, but looks like a cutting of a ficus. Cuttings (of various plants) are often used as filler in arrangements, therefore don't have the proper root systems in place. Give it time perhaps? Look up "ficus."
Thank you for the help! I'd actually thought it was a rubber tree at one point, but I ruled it out because the leaves aren't very big (the largest is 3 inches long) and it doesn't have a woody stem. I've had it for a little over a year and it's grown a bit, but it's still only a little over 8 inches tall. Sorry you can't really tell its size from the photo.
