As you gave no indication of size, it's hard to be sure, but from the photo alone it looks like a Flour Beetle, of which there are several different ones. Have you seen any in your kitchen or pantry? They are usually associated with grains, rice, beans, cereals. Double check these food items for signs of any bugs.
The other possibility is a Brown Click Beetle.
Either way, check these two bugs out on-line to see if they are one of these.

This looks like a typical house roach or what some call a cockroach. They are horrible and they are in everything in your home. I think you really need to set out some roach traps, roach sticky paper, and maybe put down some roach bait to kill them with.
I do not believe it is a fluke beetle but not sure since it appears to be so small.
You can send picture (and size) to these sites and they will tell you what bug you have and then you can find out how to get rid of them as I feel sure they are eating your carpet and clothes.
