What type of dog have we got? We've had him ten weeks now and he is growing fast.

Looks to me as though you have a really lovely Boxer-American Staffordshire Terrier cross there, from some outstanding bloodlines!
I bred AKC Boxers in the US for over 40 years, my cousin raised Staffies (the correct nickname for what too many people like to call pit bulls); I also did several years of breed rescue until my permanent relocation to the UK.
Check with your vet but I'm positive that's what I am seeing in the photos you've posted. You'll need to check with your local authorities to be sure there are no laws about keeping Staffie crosses in your area - many US and UK localities now have legislation regarding how (or if) these animals are to be controlled both in your home and out in public. In areas where they aren't prohibited you may have to have specialty insurance, always keep the dog on a lead and wearing a muzzle, and crated in the home when children or vulnerable older people are present.
But don't let that turn you off this gorgeous dog - this one clearly is the result of breeding between outstanding bloodlines and should be, with good training and proper care, an excellent family companion dog! There are fantastic breed specific books in your local library, and a wealth of excellent resources online to help you understand and train your dog.
If you do decide you're not up to the demands of having this type dog in your home, please find a breed rescue group to rehome - they will make sure to find the dog a home prepared and able to meet the dog's needs.
