The doll market probably has the very highest number for sale listings, slowest selling listings and lowest value of all online listings in the world.
The doll market is flooded (even before the COVID-19 virus) and will probably continue to be this way from now on as dolls have lost their 'glow' of past years and just do not appeal to very many people. Even doll collectors are scarce and very, very picky as they have many dolls to choose from and, truthfully, not too many dolls listed for sale can really be considered 'collectible'. Most were mass produced and purchased in the 1980's-2000 with thoughts of making a lot of money in 10-20 years.
Be sure to check out true shipping costs - well wrapped and double boxed.
Good clear pictures and a full description are necessary to sell dolls.
The current market where I am (and online) is if she is 15 inches or under, she may sell for $1-$15. If she is taller, $10-25.
There are a glut of dolls out there. Now is the time to sell before Christmas. Be sure to wrap her very carefully if you are shipping because she is so fragile that she can easily be damaged in shipping. Use tons of bubble wrap and double box.
This will impact the shipping so be sure to put the correct box weight and dimensions so you don't lose money.
Post back how your sale goes!
The value on Ashley Belle dolls are decreasing drastically, due to so many of these dolls and others on the market. As of now the value/asking price range from $5 to $15 online. Maybe selling locally and a yard/garage sale could bring in more. More collectable and newer unopened for the holidays are doing a little better. www.etsy.com/
it is a total shame that people paid so much for these dolls in hopes that one day they could retire and sell off their collections online. if this was 8-10 years ago you could actually get a very good price for these dolls. However, today the value is so low and people are almost giving them away. There are some people that are only asking $1 for the doll and they still can't sell it.
What I have found out recently is that people take these dolls to a swap meet and try to sell them there. They can usually get around $10-15 for the doll.
These are mass-produced dolls with a maximum value of $25.
