I found this bug in my bathroom and under my daughter's AC UNIT. Can someone please tell what kind of bug this is? It doesn't fly but it's pretty quick.

It looks like a firebrat.
Not harmful (like stinging or biting), but they can get into food and clothing and cause damage/waste to those things.
Best to vaccuum them up and do a good cleaning.
Go around the outside of your house and get rid of leaves and debris and inside go around and get rid of cardboard and paper and keep moist areas like basements and bathrooms dry with a dehumidifier.
That should make the problem go away.

This looks a insect called a Earwig - it is one of 2000 species. This insect loves damp/moist areas, they also love to hide in cracks and crevices. Here is more on this insect - en.wikipedia.org/
Hi There,
I agree that this insect is an earwig. I was going to say it was a silverfish, but it looks more like an earwig. They come out at night, like scavengers, and eat all sorts of decaying things.
Here is a link with some information:

Agree with pgh- that is a firebrat :) Don't think it's an earwig as those have a distinct clawlike thing on one end.
When you enlarge the pictures you can see the 'tail' end better and actually it looks more like punchers (short and straight) but then it looks like a pointed tail in the center and Earwigs only have 2 punchers so...
The long tail pieces do not resemble the Firebrat or the Silverfish insects either so I'm not really sure what this is but I would image that whatever kills one will kill the others so maybe it doesn't really matter which it is.
You say they are near in the bathroom and near the AC so maybe try to be sure the bathroom pipes are free of moisture and you may have to caulk or cover any gaps around the AC unit.
These may be all you have inside so look around the outside and clean up any debris that may be accumulated around the outside walls (if you have yard space).
You can make a spray of half & half water and alcohol that will kill them on site.
Here is a link about how to get rid of earwigs but I'm pretty sure these suggestions would be about the same of either bug.
