I have a '79 C-161 Wheel Horse mower. It will only run if I spray starting fluid into the carb. I installed a new battery, gas line, spark plug, and air filter. What can be the problem?

A few things to check:
- If your mower will only start if you spray the carburetor with quick start, then you have a blockage in your fuel lines.
- If you've left gas in the mower and stored the mower with gas in the tank. Then you more than likely have sludge in your gas tank.
- You'll need to remove the gas in the tank and clean the tank.
- Also clean the carburetor because there is sludge in the carburetor too.
- Look at your spark plugs and change them out if they are burned looking.
