My windshield washers have just recently stopped working. The wipers work fine, but no water comes out. I know there is plenty of fluid in the receptacle because I've had it checked. Does anyone have a simple solution I can try before taking my car to repair shop? I know nothing about cars other than they go frontwards and backwards.

There are several thoughts that come to mind.
1. The holes that spray water on the win shield are clogged.
2. There may be a tear to the hose some where.
3. The hose has separrated from the water canster or from the spray nozzle.
Try using a pin to clear the holes in the spray head.
You may have to take some pieces apart to check on the entire length of the hose and connections.
Same thing happened to me last week. It turned out to be the switch at the end of the wiper arm.
Sometime the plastic hose gets kinked or the nozzles get clogged. Scrub the nozzles with an old toothbrush and soapy water, check under the hood for kinks or leaks.
